With the debate raging on reality TV about SWV and Xscape, we decided to take a look at which group actually is the best. SWV emerged in the early 90s and gained significant success throughout the decade. They have released several albums throughout their career, but here are four of their most highly regarded albums:

4. “Still” (2016)

“Still” is SWV’s fifth studio album, released on February 5, 2016, by Mass Appeal Entertainment and eOne Music. The album was SWV’s first release in over 15 years, following a hiatus after their fourth album, “SWV: A Special Christmas,” released in 2015. “Still” features a mix of old-school and contemporary R&B sounds, and it received critical acclaim upon its release. The album’s hit singles include “MCE (Man Crush Everyday),” “Ain’t No Man,” and “On Tonight.”

3. “Release Some Tension” (1997)

“Release Some Tension” is SWV’s third album, released on August 26, 1997, by RCA Records. The album features collaborations with several notable artists, including Missy Elliott, Puff Daddy, and Foxy Brown. The album’s sound is a mix of R&B, hip hop, and new jack swing. “Release Some Tension” was another commercial success for SWV, peaking at No. 9 on the US Billboard 200 chart and being certified platinum in the United States. The album’s hit singles include “Rain,” “Can We,” and “Someone.”

2. “New Beginning” (1996)

“New Beginning” is SWV’s second album, released on January 30, 1996, by RCA Records. The album was produced by Allen “Allstar” Gordon and features a more polished and sophisticated sound than their debut album. “New Beginning” was another commercial success for the group, peaking at No. 6 on the US Billboard 200 chart and being certified double platinum in the United States. The album’s hit singles include “You’re the One,” “Use Your Heart,” and “It’s All About U.”

1. “It’s About Time” (1992)

This was SWV’s debut album, released on October 27, 1992, by RCA Records. The album was produced by Brian Alexander Morgan, who also wrote most of the songs on the album. “It’s About Time” features a blend of new jack swing, R&B, and hip hop styles. The album was a commercial success, reaching No. 8 on the US Billboard 200 chart and being certified triple platinum in the United States. The album’s hit singles include “Right Here,” “I’m So into You,” and “Weak.” “Weak” was a massive hit, reaching No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.
