Report Reveals Republican Plans to Place Activists at Polling Locations

-

According to a Politico report, the Republican National Committee has plans to not only increase the presence of poll watchers this fall, but also have activists actually working the polls. Most of the movement stems from the former President’s debunked claims that the 2020 election was stolen.

Politico obtained video recordings showing that the RNC is actively recruiting people to work in polling places in typical Democratic strongholds in swing states. The plan also calls for the RNC to have lawyers that will work to protect these workers in court if cases arise after the election.

Even in instances of Republican primary elections, candidates that have fallen out of favor with the former President have also been accused of fraudulent victories. The former President has been pushing an odd article stating that Governor Brian Kemp’s massive victory over his preferred candidate, former Senator David Perdue, was fraudulent.

In addition to these moves, Republican dominated state legislatures have passed laws making access to voting even harder. Most of these moves became legal after the Supreme Court decision to gut the Voting Rights Act.
