New Details Emerge in Dwayne Haskins’ Death as Family Files Lawsuit Against Multiple Defendants

Former NFL quarterback Dwayne Haskins was killed after being hit by a dump truck in Broward County, Florida and nearly a year to the date of the incident, his family filed a lawsuit claiming there was a conspiracy setup for him to be drugged, robbed, and extorted before he was fatally struck while standing on a highway after running out of gas.

According to ESPN, the toxicology report revealed that Haskins had a blood alcohol level of .20 and .24, which was greater than the state’s legal limit of .08. Moreover, he tested positive for ketamine and norketamine. It’s not just the family’s attorney who is making allegations of foul play, but also stating that Haskins was “targeted and drugged as part of a blackmail and robbery conspiracy.”

The lawsuit also claims negligence against several businesses, including a hotel company, a driving range, a restaurant, and a nightclub. The truck driver who hit Haskins is also accused of negligence, along with the dump truck company, the truck’s owner, the Florida Department of Transportation, and the rental car company that Haskins used.
