Steph Curry’s 21 1st quarter points weren’t enough to hold off the Celtics run in the 4th that lead to an improbable come back to steal Game 1 in the 2022 NBA Finals from the Warriors. Boston was also able to overcome a horrendous shooting performance from star Jayson Tatum who went 3 of 17 from the field. The All-NBA 1st Team performer found other ways to contribute assisting on 35 Celtics points, the most by a player in the playoffs since 2014.
After leading by double digits after 3 quarters, it appeared that Golden State would cruise to a Game 1 win, but Jaylen Brown set the tone early in the 4th quarter to lead the come back. Al Horford added 26 points to lead the way for Boston after ending his record breaking streak of having played the most playoff games in NBA history without an appearance in the Finals.

Curry finished with 34 points after that blistering 1st quarter.
Game 2 is on Sunday night in San Francisco.
